Trial Attorneys

Grit. Experience. Compassion.

History

Founded in 2010, The Stafford Davis Firm has achieved meteoric success in just a short period of time. Since its inception, the firm has obtained many multi-million dollar recoveries through hard work and devotion to our clients’ legal matters. We provide the highest quality of legal services in the preparation, trial, and appeal of each case. We won’t be outworked, and we won’t be outmatched. While the firm is located in Tyler, Texas, we service all of Texas. We will put our results up against the results of any law firm, including those in Houston and Dallas.

Why us?

Most importantly, because you need results.  Since founding his own firm in 2010, Stafford has achieved many multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients.  Some of these clients are individuals that were injured by the negligence of others, and some of these clients are companies that were harmed by the tortious conduct of others.  Whether a contract is broken or a person is injured, you need someone that has devoted his life to seeking justice in the courtroom.

Civil litigation is a "full contact" sport.  Your lawyer must know the law, and be able and willing to outwork the other side at every stage of the case.  Likewise, when the fate of your livelihood, a loved one, or your business rests in the hands of a jury panel of twelve men and women from all walks of life, you need someone that can connect with each of those individuals and present your case in an intelligent, concise, and passionate manner. Our law firm brings to the table an understanding of people, their problems, and the persistence necessary to achieve justice. This understanding is largely attributable to our East Texas roots.

We also handle cases on a contingency basis when possible. This means you do not pay a dime and we do not receive one until resolution has been reached through settlement or jury verdict. There are few law firms in today’s economy that have the salt to step outside the “billable hour” paradigm, push their chips in and align 100% with the client’s interest. We are one of the them.

Stafford Davis

Stafford is a first-chair trial lawyer. He has tried cases in both federal and state courts across Texas, and he has obtained multi-million dollar recoveries, including by way of jury verdict, on behalf of his clients. He does not quit until his clients are justly compensated and bad actors are held accountable. Stafford has also consistently been named a “Rising Star” and “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers Magazine and Texas Monthly Magazine in recent years.

Prior to starting his own law firm, Stafford spent four years at the international law firm of Jones Day, where his practice focused on intellectual property litigation, which included the representation of Fortune 500 Companies and other international entities in trade secret, trademark, and patent disputes.  In 2010, he returned to Tyler, Texas to start his own law practice with one idea in mind—to help real people and small businesses get real results.

Stafford earned his law degree from Baylor University where he served as both Notes and Comments Editor and Associate Editor of the Baylor Law Review.  Stafford also served as a research assistant to Professor David Guinn, the Louise L. Morrison Professor of Constitutional Law, and as Vice-President of the Baylor Student Bar Association.

A list of recent verdicts and other results can be found under the “news” tab.
